Came here on a Tuesday night right before Barry's and had immediate seating! Good: - Fast service and good portion sizes - Good pricing, not too expensive! - Loved the bun rieu, it was very tasty and warm and liked the tomato soup and noodle texture Bad: - More casual dine in place - No frills experience Overall solid Vietnamese experience!

Avoid if you are looking for authentic Vietnamese. The service was okay, but I noticed that my table was dirty and just move to another. I ordered the pho, but the broth didn’t have much flavor. Should be fine if you never had authentic Vietnamese. The pork sandwich on the other hand is good, but I probably will not go back.

We came to this place for garlic noodles. But it turns out that we like the Pho better than the garlic noodles. The Pho is great. We ordered the #11(rare beef). The beef is fresh and the soup tastes good. On another side, the garlic noodles are way too sweet and not have any “garlic” taste. This may be my personal preference. I chosen the lemongrass beef and that was the good decision. But I like this place overall so still a 5 star.

Came with a fairly large group on a Friday night. The place is clean, inviting, and the food was fresh. We had Five Spice Chicken Pho, Beef Pho, Lemongrass Beef with Garlic noodle, chicken with garlic noodles, pork belly Bahn Mi, Calamari, and a bunch of other things. Needless to say we pretty much covered most of it. I wanted to try the Bun Rieu but I was afraid of being disappointed since we eat at many Viet places from SF, East Bay, and San Jose. If you like Ben Tre, Gao Viet, Pho Hanoi, Pho Nguyen, and others like it, you might find the food is not what you're used to. The place is cute, the people are really nice and the food is ok. That being said you won't have a bad meal here. Sometimes the plain authentic dishes are not to other's liking and they prefer an alternative version, that's ok too. Three stars for the food based on what they're serving, not compared to the popular Vietnamese places.

I was looking for a place to eat when I suddenly smelled the best scent of food ever! I walked in and was greeted kindly by the staff. The place is very clean and has both indoor and an outdoor seating option. The food was delicious, with spicy options. I got the garlic noodles and the porkbelly sandwich. Equally delicious. I’m excited to go back and try the other stuff on the menu. Such a great find!

The food was absolutely delicious. The portion - price relation was also good. The staff was nice and welcoming. The restaurant is really pretty and is in the heart of Castro district, so you get nice views of the street.
